Playing 720p mkv file on mplayer stops mid-way through the file?

Im watching a high-def mkv file which is about 720p, and towards the end at the same exact spot it stops playing and closes the player like at the end of a file thats finished playing??

Are you sure you got a complete file and not just half of a file and MPlayer stops when it reaches the end of it?
