Mplayerosx

When I attempt to use .sub format subtitles with any movie on Mplayer OS X extended, they do not load at all with .avi video files. As if they weren't there at all.

For example, I will have the .avi and the .sub in the same directory. The video will be called File1.avi and the subtitle file will be called File1.sub. When I go to the "Movie" menu and then the "Subtitle" submenu, is only has the option, "Disable" checked.

If I attempt to drag and drop the .sub file, the aforementioned subtitle menu option still only has "Disable" available and checked.

If I attempt to go to 'File' > 'Open Subtitle...' it is the same as above.

Is this a bug or am I just somehow missing something important?
