Description

It would be great if files with filenames similar to the one you're opening are automatically added to the playlist.
This way you wouldn't have to add movies split in multiple parts or multiple episodes of series manually, but they would automatically play one after the other

Playlist behaviour is something I really have to take a closer look at.

Don't know what it will lead to but I'll keep your suggestion in mind.

Example: when you play example01.avi, Mplayer will automatically add example02.avi, example03.avi... to the playlist.

i would certainly love it. movist does it. it's very cool, it even plays the next w/ files like rlsgrp-rlsname-s01e01... in a folder w/ other movies.
would it be helpful to know how the movist dev did it?
i would write him, but since i'm not a coder, it's probably the best if you, adrian, did it.

I think the sequential file playback mode implemented in my MPlayer build fulfills this request nicely. Cmd-Left and -Right will also switch to the previous and next files in the playing directory. More info here.
