I agree I took inspiration from several media players. But the graphics are still made by me, none are used from VLC (some from MPE's new skin itself, like the volume icons and the scrubber).
Again, this is just a mockup made in photoshop. If you have better suggestions, please, lets hear them...

I like the QT 10 style more than the VLC-like one but it would be great if it had an options button to change language, etc. just like the MPE window has (not the 3 separate ones in the current fullscreen version) and I liked the file name display of your previous version.

I'll think about an icon for the unified options button, but it will need to be implemented by Adrian. Will see if I can make the file name display fit somewhere in this version.. Again, this is just a Photoshop mock-up, nothing actually working inside MPE at the time.

So I got tired of waiting for an answer, so I decided to make my own build of MPE with my full-screen controller.
It's exactly the same build as MPE rev13 (meaning it has the same bugs..), but it has my file type icons and my full-screen controller.

[edit: and by my version, I mean the latest QT style version depicted here: http://i50.tinypic.com/10e1myc.jpg , only difference is it misses the remaining time on the right of the timeline bar. Need Adrian to change some code for that to happen]

Some things are missing in this version of the controller, namely: the subtitles button and the audio button. I haven't had time to make custom icons for those buttons, so that might happen somewhere in the future.

It's similar, yeah. But I think mine recreates the QT look a bit better. I changed the shape of the MPE controller, which I didn't like.. I built the thing from the source, so I had more freedom to play with the shape of the controller, positions of the buttons etc. Which IMO resulted in a better looking final result..

We'll see if Adrian will want to use it in his own project, otherwise I'll just keep making my own builds :P He hasn't been around for at least a month though..

So are you interested in another mockup? I could do one that's closer to the size of the original MPE controller bar..

Could new look still have the subtitle button?
