Description

I have my Mac connected to a 4:3 TV and would like to see the option implemented to cut a video to fit certain aspect ratios. Until now there is only the option to change the aspect ratio without cutting, so the video gets blurred. For example VLC player offers both functions (cutting and keeping full image). Could you please implement this.

This already works for the internal video output: Just select "Pan-Scan" from the Aspect menu and Extended will scale the image to fit the screen, cutting the borders left and right.

This could probably be improved (easier to understand and a permanent option in preferences).
