Due to the never-ending spam and the fact it's hard to remove it using Redmine I've decided to move the issue tracking to Github as well.

This coincides with today's release of rev15-test1. Please verify outstanding issues with the newest release and reopen issues on Github.

I will look into opening a forum for more relaxed discussion about MPE.

Git, collaborative features and reliability have convinced me to move MPlayer OSX Extended's code from the local SVN repository to Github. This means the code will still be available even if this page goes offline, browsing the code works better and it's much easier to fork and pull changes back into MPE.

As part of the move I've reorganized the directory structure, throwing away all cruft that isn't needed any more. I've also started with a fresh new XCode project, making everything XCode 4 ready and hopefully easier to get started with.

I've also gone through the changes of the two existing MPE forks on Github from Johan Lundström and Dako and merged most of their changes.

  • Support is still preliminary. There should be no major issues but the handling is not yet fully fleshed out and has these restrictions:
  • Only the first player instance is able to have a playlist.
  • Files will always load in the active instance.
